There are now over 700 million mobile connections in Africa with growth
 of mobile internet usage being the world’s highest in recent years,
 reportedly in triple digits in some territories.

such as Facebook, Twitter and MXit. Facebook is one of the most visited
websites in Africa
 and has been launched in Swahili, Hausa and Zulu. 
According to Jon von Tetzchner, co-founder of Opera, 
a global mobile phone internet browser, “the mobile web is beginning to
reshape the economic, political and social development of the continent.”
The rapid rise of social media provides great opportunity for businesses
in Africa, especially for businesses tapping into Africa’s young and
