‘Oliver’ by Lionel Bart by The DUT Drama Department - Auditions

The DUT Drama Department is producing the musical ‘Oliver’ by Lionel Bart in February and March 2015 and for that production we are looking for 10 to 12 boys sopranos (age 7 – 12 maybe 13) if they are not too tall and obviously before the breaking of the voice.  We are looking for musical little boys with acting skills and the ability to perform 7 shows from 22 – 28 March at DUT Courtyard Theatre.

We are having auditions on Friday, 5 December from 2 pm here at DUT Drama Department (Parking at Gate 6). The audition piece is ‘Food glorious Food’ which we can send to you when you contact us but another song which can show the range of the voice is also acceptable.

On the day of the audition further arrangements such as rehearsal times and transport will be discussed.  The boys will be trained for the performance musically by Ms Madlen Tzankova and for staging by Pamela Tancsik plus stage manager and theatre manager. An indemnity letter needs to be signed when agreement to participate in the production has been confirmed

For further questions please contact Pamela  0824031707 or e mail me on pamelat@dut.ac.za Oliver!  22 – 28 March 2015 at Courtyard Theatre
We hope to see you there on 5 December for audition
