Poetry, Music Bursaries and Jobs

The Man in Autumn

The old man like a body in Winter,
Walks the town as if following
The railway line; chasing the scenes
Of the world before, brave knight
Sir so dreams fly through the day.
This world behind his walk
Along the tar corridor, ghosts
Accompany him from a crippled world.

Wish that them whom lack
To tie the binds;
Still in the summer like silver
You fade ever slightly
In the journey that must be written.

Perhaps you were there upon
The wind when in fairness
This world was young, long
Lightly you tread the road:

Forever like a kite in Autumn gladness.
